Absolute, Allah, Haqq

Updated: Jul 4, 2021

The Absolute, is the unknown level of Hiddenness. Allah is One, Pure and Unique. Haqq, on the other hand is that which is embodied, uniting all the names.

Haqq, in our understanding, is Love itself. And to the extent that love allows them, all divine names and attributes, emerge as forms and matter and enable creation.

For this reason, Haqq is love by its name; it is the Universe itself; it is the Complete Man himself; it is the grace that wishes to present itself on Earth, and elevates to the level of the wise.

Without Haqq’s permission, not a single leaf moves. Without Haqq’s permission, it is not even possible to mention its name. If the Haqq doesn’t will it, nothing emerges, appears or takes form.

Absolute, Allah, Haqq

The meaning of Haqq in Ibn ‘Arabi philosophy is:

‘I AM is the apprentice of the road that leads to the One.’ A fundamental reality that Ibn ‘Arabi mentions in his works is that; the Universe is composed of a delusion; in

other words assumptions.

The universe doesn’t have a real existence. It is an assumption to think, ‘It creates its own

self and has formed and is separate from Haqq’, because, everything that you discriminate as ‘you and me’ is a dream.

In other words, you yourself are the product of imagination, and the universe that you look with your seeing eyes is also the product of imagination. In other words, you are an

imagined ‘I’ composed of an assumption in an imagined universe. In short, Ibn ‘Arabi says ‘Humankind is a dream in a dream.’

Everyone is asleep in this life, only wake up when they die. One, who is born in the body, is asleep and only wakes up when he goes back to his own reality.

Where is one’s own reality? Of course, there is a form of reality for everyone in

the Heart of Haqq. The reflection of that form is seen as existence in the universe. It is an image of an existence that has no reality.

Its essence is still in the Heart of Haqq, in the silhouette; the shape in the divine mirror. The true shape, the true form is the shape in the divine mirror. The divine

thought created by that divine form takes its shape and is reflected in the material plan.

This reflection is the reflection of Haqq as a dream in the universe.

In Ibn ‘Arabi’s philosophy, Haqq (Truth) is the only reality.

Other than the Truth, anything that can been seen and has limits is temporary, empty, a shadow, unnatural, a game and imagined. The only truth is Haqq. It is the third of

the Virtuous Three. The Virtuous Three is ‘One’ and whole. The name Haqq is open to the name ‘Allah’.

The name ‘Allah’ is secret to the name Haqq and is secret to all

existence. The Absolute on the other hand is secret to the name of ‘Allah’ and the name of ‘Haqq’ and is the point of hiddenness that is unknown and unfound.

The name Allah, is in the secret of the name Haqq. ‘Allah’ Loves, when ‘Haqq’ can’t see ‘Love’ hears. And with that Love, it reveals each reality, each truth that is separated from

its Essence. In one moment it creates in all humankind and recreates in all molecular particles.

And only the wise one sees this. Because the wise one, having reached the center of

Haqq, is in his own center.

In the name ‘Allah’, all names and attributes are found in ‘kül’, meaning in whole, pure, single and unique form. The names that bring ‘existence’ and the names that

bring ‘nonexistence’ manifest with their dual meanings in the name Haqq.

And the meaning of the numerous names that were reported to us are manifest in creation in a single moment.

The name ‘Allah’ expresses itself in ‘Haqq’. The name ‘Haqq’ expresses itself in the divine names, and the divine names make themselves apparent in the divine forms.

The divine forms know themselves through the universe. And Haqq knows itself through people.

It knows itself by the reflection of divine names and attributes created in each

of humankind. If a human refines and cleans his/her heart then it shines like an unpolished mirror and Haqq becomes apparent there.

When Haqq is apparent in the hearts of humans, those humans become aware of their own Haqq. When Haqq is apparent in the spiritual heart of humans,

the humans recognize the Haqq in their spiritual heart.

And this state of mutual seeing, is a state of knowing. When

a human knows, he/she elevates to the level of the wise.
